Parade Participants
You can be a General Parade Participant or a Corporate Participant. If you are a Marching Band, you will need to call 225-925-8295 and leave information on the line. Dignitaries are invited to ride also. There is no vendor nor stage space. This is strictly a parade and a great parade if we do say so ourselves. It is because everyone who participates makes it such a great day!
Shamrock Ratings are attributed to each float after the annual parade as a way of judging performance once all comments from the public, officials, parade marshals have been reviewed. A rating of a 5Shamrock indicates that the participant followed all of the rules, had walkers at all times, non-offensive music, good driver (not distracted by throwing beads, cell phone or certainly not drinking), and they picked up their litter.
