recipes - breakfastCinnamon Toast & Cinnamon Crunchies - Ingredients - Spreadable margarine; bread; cinnamon sugar
Carefully spread butter, edge to edge on the bread. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the bread.
Using a cookie cutter (optional), cut a shape out. Sprinkle more cinnamon sugar on shape.
Toast in toaster oven one cycle. Young children like the shapes. Older children may just want the cinnamon toast whole - no shape.
If you cut the shape, there is no need to waste the leftover pieces. You can make sure they are coated with margarine & cinnamon sugar and place in a warm oven (200 degree) and bake until crispy all the way through (45 minutes). These are a wonderful after-school snack.
